Lidský úděl je v příspěvku charakterizován jako poznání svého životního úkolu a úsilí o jeho tvořivé naplňování. Je zdůrazněna jeho souvislost s životním scénářem, který se formuje před dosažením dospělosti a jeho odlišnost od osudu, který je bezperspektivní svým determinismem. Pozornost je dále věnována údělu jako naplňování smyslu života ve vztahovém rámci navrženém V. E. Franklem.

In the paper, human destiny is characterised as knowing one's own life task and making efforts for its creative fulfilment. It is emphasised there the relation of human destiny to life script, which forms before achieving maturity, and the distinction between human destiny and fate, which is prospectless with its determinism. Attention is further given to the conception of destiny as fulfilling one's meaning in life in the frame of reference suggested by V. E. Frankl.
