Abstract
Thrace was one of the provinces of the Roman Empire with strong religious and ethnic traditions dervining from the pre-Roman period. This is reflected in names, in mentioning traditional background from local pre-Roman aristocracy and also in funeral rite.

Thrákie byla řískou provincií se silnými tradicemi staršího náboženství a strktury, to se obrazilo jak v nápisech, tak v tradici pohřebního ritu.
