In the context of early modern human's appearence and late Neandertal persistence in Central Europe, the paper discusses the cave sites of Mladeč and Koněprusy in detail, and several other caves in general (Vindija, Remete Felsö, Dzeravá, Mamutowa, Istálloskö, Szeleta).
