Abstract
Radon is a nautrally occuring, colorless, odorless, almost chemically inert and radioactive gas. At present it is well known that the radon-related radiation dose to respiratory tissue is responsible for lung cancer. The purpose of the article is the determination of radioactive daughter products in buildings (schools) and their influence on human health.

Radon je inertní radioaktivní plyn bez barvy a bez zápachu. V současné době je známo, že jeho produklty rozpadu jsou zodpovědné ze vznik rakoviny plic. Cílem článku je prezentace výsledků měření koncentrace radonu v budovách (včetně školních) a vliv produktů rozpadu na lidské zdraví.
