Abstract
Solanaceae family represents an interesting group to study telomere structure and function in an evolutionary context. Solanaceae possess typical plant telomeres (TTTAGGG)n maintained by telomerase (e.g. Solanum, Nicotiana genera). In addition to these, Cestrum, Sessea, Vestia lack Arabidopsis-type telomeres. We searched POT1-like proteins in both Nicotiana and Cestrum group.
Abstract (in Czech)
Rostlinná čeleď Solanaceae je zajímavá pro studium struktury a funkce telomer.Její zástupci mají typické rostlinné telomery (TTTAGGG)n udržované telomerázou (Solanum, Nicotiana) a zároveň jiní její zástupci (Cestrum, Sessea, Vestia) postrádají telomery typu Arabidopsis. Rozhodli jsme se hledat POT1 homology u zástupců Solanaceae obou typů.
