Sedmičlenná skupina doktorských studentů Katedry výtvarné výchovy Pedagogické fakulty Masarykovy Univerzity se díky projektu MU Podpora internacionalizace doktorského studia a zahraničních zkušeností řešeného na PdF MU v rámci rozvojového programu MŠMT pro rok 2008 mohla účastnit mezinárodní letní umělecké akademie na Cyprus College of Art in Lempa. Tento letní ateliér je unikátní uměleckopedagogickou šancí ponořit se na čtyři týdny nejen do vlastní výtvarné práce (s otevřenou možností vedení výjimečnými osobnostmi) ale zažít sám sebe v prostředí stále živé tradice, řemesla, historie a mytologie v kruhu spoluzúčastněných výtvarných umělců a studentů umění z celého světa. 2.8.2008 proběhla celovečerní prezentace zúčastněných studentů v nádvoří Cyprus College of Art. Tvůrčí činnost na představovaném výměnném pobytu současně souvisí a rozpracovává výzkumné části disertačních prací zúčastněných doktorských studentů.

Text of Barbora Svátková, Lucie Bartoňková and Ludmila Fidlerová for the symposium of the Czech Section of inSEA in Brno 2008 Public and the magic of visualization (22.-21.11.08). Three points of views of authors Ludmila Fidlerová, Lucie Bartoňková and Barbora Svátková capture short term attachment of seven PhD students from Department of Art of Faculty of Education (Masaryk University, Brno) in Cyprus College of Art in one of ancient village the name of which is Lempa, not far from mythical birthplace of Goddess Aphrodite. The aim of this Summer Studio embodied by its founder and Principal Stass Paraskos as well as very rich cultural and historical background and the inspiring group of participants of various parts of the world is trying to point out three parts of the contribution. The first one is devoted to the founder of Cyprus College of Art and historical and art-traditional roots of Summer Studio, reflected in students and teachers activities. The second part of contribution belongs to mythology which is typical for Cyprus. There is no chance to live without it in such a fairy environment. Greek mythology is introduced by the God of wine and happiness Dionysus, because of his love for Life. The third part of this text is practical description of Summer Studio programme in Lempa in one part and the private authors abstractions in the second part. Although this visions are private should not be strange for this arteducational symposium.
