TY - CHAP ID - 815152 AU - Havelková, Marie PY - 2008 TI - Basis of Health Teaching VL - Pregraduate Teacher Training 1. PB - PdF MU Brno CY - Brno: PdF MU KW - Health Teaching - Health Education - Faculty of Education -Teachers - Pupils - genotype - fenotype - ontogenesis N2 - All traits of living organisms including human beings are primarily determined by sets of genes (genotype) that individuals inherit from their parents. Though, observed expressions of many inherited genes are results of environmental factors influencing an individual. In prenatal life it is an environment in a body of mother and in a postnatal life it is a real environment of an individual. Therefore the chapter Basis of Health Teaching introduces a general overview of two important subjects of the field Health education which are Genetics and Ontogenesis. Genetics presents information on primary determination of a human being traits and Ontogenesis focuses on the issue of genes expression in the course of a human being ontogenesis, particularly the ontogenesis in its early stage.
