Příspěvek je zaměřen na principy řízení destinace včetně definování terminologie vysvětlující rozdíl mezi destinačním managementem a destinační společností. V teoretické části příspěvek prezentuje zahraniční přístupy k vymezení funkcí destinačního managementu a v praktické části se zabývá aplikací procesu destinačního řízení v České republice.

The objective of the paper is to present the principals of destination management including terminology concerning the explanation of differences between destination management and destination management organization. Moreover, the theoretical part deals with foreign approaches towards the identification of destination management functions. The last part of the contribution is practical and it focuses on the application of the destination management process in the Czech Republic.
