Článek se věnuje přechodu k demokracii - jednak tranzitologické teorii, jednak její aplikaci na případ zemí střední Evropy na konci osmdesátých let (Československo, Polsko, Maďarsko).

The aim of the chapter is to describe the transition to the democracy: the theory of transitology, also the aplication of this theory to the reality of the Central-European countries at the end of 80th (Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary).
