Abstract
The text is a short description and assessment of situation with English one-word (geographical) name of the Czech Republic in the year 2008, so 90 years after the establishment of Czechoslovakia and 15 years after its disintegration and constitution of independent Czech state - Czechia.

Článek ve stručnosti popisuje a hodnotí, jak se vyvinula a kam dospěla situace kolem anglického jednoslovného jména naší země v roce 2008, tedy 90 let po vzniku Československa a 15 let po jeho rozpadu a ustavení samostatného českého státu - Česka.
