Abstract

The lecture included a summary of chief institutional, organizational and legal attempts to deal with the communist past. It further proposed a change of focus on key features of the comparative history of the communist regimes guided by the concept of empirically proven l communist legacies in current post-communist countries. Finally, the lecture presented a proposal to form European platform for Memory and Consciouness initiated by the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes.

Abstract (in Czech)

V první části přednáška shrnula hlavní body institucionálního, organizačního a právního vyrovnání se s komunismem. Dále byl představen návrh na změnu pohledu na zákloadní charakteristiky komunistického režimu v pojetí současné srovnávací historie, a to pomocí empiricky zkoumaného konceptu komunistického dědictví v současných postkomunistických státech. V poslední části byla prezentována iniciativa Ústavu pro studium totalitních pro založení evropské platformy paměti a svědomí.
