Příspěvek se dotýká tematiky srovnání právního postavení otroků v antickém Římě a některých jiných starověkých státech. Popisuje vývoj problematiky otroctví, zejména z pohledu právního. Je nepochybně velmi zajímavé sledovat nejmarkantnější rozdíly mezi otroky v Římě a například v Řecku. Proto jde o velmi pozoruhodnou oblast vědy. Příspěvek se také zabývá hlavními znaky antického otroctví obecně.

This topic deals with the problem how to comapare the legal status of the slaves in ancient Rome and their legal status in some other ancient states. It describes the development of the slavery, especially from the point of view of law. It is very interesting to watch the most remarkable differences between the slaves in Rome and for example in Greece. That is why it is an interesting field of scientific activity. The topic deals also with the main signs of ancient slave in general.
