Abstract
To assess whether structural and metabolic brain abnormalities are correlated in MTLE/HS syndrome. Optimized voxel-based morphometry (VBM) of gray matter concentration (GMC) and gray matter volume (GMV) and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy measurements from both-sided hippocampal and thalamic regions were performed in 20 MTLE/HS patients and 20 sex- and age-matched healthy controls.

Cílem bylo zjištění zda při MTLE/HS syndromu korelují strukturální a metabolické abnormality v mozku. Byla použita optimalizovaná voxel-based morfometrie pro sledování koncetrace a oběmu šedé hmoty a protonová MR spektroskopie měřená z obou hipokampů a talamických oblastí u 20 MTLE/HS pacientů a 20 věkově a pohlavně odpovídajících zdravých kontrol.
