Abstract
Proteins binding the single-stranded G-rich strand of the Arabidopsis type (TTTAGGG)n and related human-type (TTAGGG)n telomeric sequences are present in nuclear extracts of both Nicotiana and Cestrum, although the telomeres of any of these types types are present in Cestrum species. Analysis of POT1-like proteins available on public databases and cloned by us from C. parqui, revealed the N-terminal OB folds typical for this protein family and a novel, plant-specific conserved C-terminal OB-fold domain (CTOB).
Abstract (in Czech)
Proteiny vážící jednovláknový přesah G-bohatého vlákna telomer typu Arabidopsis (TTTAGGG)n a telomer příbuzného lidského typu (TTAGGG)n jsou přítomny v jader. extraktech rostlin rodu Nicotiana i Cestrum, ačkoli telomery ani jednoho z obou typů nejsou u rostlin rodu Cestrum přítomny. Analýza POT1-like proteinů dostupných v databázích a námi klonovaného proteinu z C. parqui ukázala přítomnost OB domén typických pro tuto rodinu proteinů, a navíc novou konzervativní C-koncovou OB doménu (CTOB) specifickou pro rostliny.
