Abstract |

The invention relates to a method of regulation of biomass production in plants, wherein the gene CKI1 or homologue or an orthologue thereof is identified in plant and the expression of the gene CKI1 or homologue or an orthologue thereof or activity of the gene product is modified. The identification of homologue or the orthologue of the gene CKI1 in the plant species comprises the following steps: i) identification of the nucleotide sequence homology or amino acid sequence homology, ii) proving the histidine kinase activity of the identified gene product, iii) identification of the expression in vascular tissues of the respective plant species. Modification of the expression of the gene includes increasing or decreasing of the expression. |

Vynález se týká metody regulace tvorby biimasy v rostlinách, kde je identifikován gen CKI1 nebo jeho homolog a jeho exprese nebo exprese jeho homologu nebo jeho ortologu je modifikována. Identifikace homologu nebo ortologu genui CKI1 zahrnuje následující kroky: i) identifikace homologie sekvemnce nukleotidů nebo aminokyselin, ii) prokázání histidinkinázové aktivity genového prduktu, iii) identifiklace exprese v cévních pletivech příslušné rostliny. Modifikace exprese genu zahrnuje jak snížení tak zvýšení genové exprese. |
