Abstract

This paper investigates the expression of authorial stance in non-native speakers academic written English on the basis of an analysis of pronominal self-reference items in Masters theses in the fields of linguistics, literature and cultural studies, and methodology written by Czech future teachers of English.

Článek zkoumá vyjádření postoje v akademickém diskurzu nerodilých mluvčích. Zaměřuje se na použití odkazů na sebe sama prostřednictvím osobních zájmen jakožto ukazatelů postoje autora k probíranému tématu, k práci jiných badatelů a k čtenářům. Analýza je provedena na korpusu diplomových prací českých studentů anglického jazyka a literatury.
