Abstract
The heavy metal content was studied in fish scales of recent fish and in the subrecent fish scales in boreholes in the oxbow lake sediments of the Morava River. In order to obtain reliable results a method of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LAICP- MS) was combined with an electron microprobe analysis (EMPA). The study has revealed substantial differences in heavy metal content in recent and subrecent fish scales a few years old documenting the extreme rapidity of the diagenesis/fossilization processes.

Obsah těžkých kovů byl stanoven v recentních a subrecentních rybích šupináchobsažených v sedimentu slepého ramene řeky Moravy. Použity byly metody laserové ablace ve spojení s hmotnostní spektrometrií indukčně vázaného plazmatu (LA-ICP-MS) a elektronová mikroskopie (EMPA). Studie dokázala různé obsahy těžkých kovů v recentních a subrecentních šupinách a dokumentuje velkou rychlost diageneze/fosilizačního procesu.
