V originále
Pertuse a parapertuse jsou známou příčinou dlouhodobého kašle u dětí. Ve dvou prezentovaných případech šlo o pacienty, kteří prodělali infekci Bordetella pertussis, resp parapertussis, a u nichž přetrvával dráždivý tracheální kašel, jenž nereagoval na symptomatickou terapii antitusiky.Vzhledem k absenci akutního respiračního infektu byla provedena 24hodinová pHmetrie distálního jícnu k detekci gastroezofageálního refluxu. Vzhledem k pozitivitě nálezu byli oba pacienti zaléčeni antirefluxní terapií, která vedla k ústupu kašle a urychlila rekonvalescenci.
In English
Pertussis and parapertussis are known causes of long-term cough in children. The two described cases concern patients who underwent infection with Bordetella pertussis or parapertussis and suffered from irritation tracheal cough which did not respond to systematic therapy with antitussive drugs. In view of absent acute respiratory infection the autors performed 24-hour measurement of distal esophagus for the detection of esophageal reflux. Since the finding was positive, both patients were treated with antireflux therapy, witch result in diminution of cough and speeded up convalescence of the patients.
