Anotace
The authors present two patients referred to the neurosurgical clinic with the incorrect diagnosis of glioma. In both cerebral ischaemia was involved, in one supratentorial, in the other one in the cerebellum. The pathophysiology of post-contrast enhancement is discussed in the context of different developmental and anatomical conditions of cerebral and cerebellar vessels. The authors emphasize possible differential diagnostic difficulties as regards differentiation of tumour and ischaemia.
