Abstract

Předložená studie navazuje na práci o žernovech z oppida Starého Hradiska (Čižmář, Leichmann 2002) a podává stručný soupis všech dostupných nálezů z dalších moravských laténských lokalit. Rotační mlýny pocházejí především z nížinných sídlišť, zastoupeny však jsou i nálezy z několika sídlišť výšinných, a to jak keltských, tak i z prostředí púchovské kultury. Početně nevelká kolekce 43 exemplářů z 27 lokalit výrazně doplňuje poznatky o distribuci žernovů vyrobených z různých surovin a o dálkových obchodních stycích moravských Keltů s okolními oblastmi, které byly získány na základě nálezů ze Starého Hradiska.

Abstract (in English)

The study submitted continues on the work on millstones from Stare Hradisko oppidium (Čižmář, Leichmann 2002) and gives a brief list of all available finds from other Moravian Latene sites. Rotation mills mostly came from lowlands settlements, although finds from several highlands settlements are represented, from both Celtic and Púchov Culture. The modest collection of 43 examples from 27 locations significantly adds to knowledge about the distribution of millstones produced from various raw materials, and about long-distance commercial contacts between Moravian Celts and neighbouring areas that was obtained based on finds from Staré Hradisko.
