Paper analysis older and newest trends in realization of Digital Earth idea defined by Al Gore. Author describes also very important role of Russian cartographer Alexander Martynenko in development of the idea in Russia and global environment. In the conclusion author describes basic principles of development of Spatially-Enabled society.

Příspěvek analyzuje starší a nejnovější trendy v realizaci myšlenky digitální Země definované Al Gorem. Autor popisuje velmi důležitou roli ruského kartografa Alexandera Martynenka pro rozvoj této myšlenky v Rusku a v globálním prostředí. V závěru autor popisuje základní principy rozvoje prostpropvě založené společnosti.
