Cet écrit tente d'apporter des éléments de réflexion issus d'une activité pédagogique concernant une compétition interuniversitaire pour la traduction littéraire du roman Boumkoeur de Rachid Djaidani. Les enjeux didactiques des langues-cultures vis-a-vis de l'apprentissage des compétences en traduction ainsi que les parametres plus techniques d'une telle entreprise sont abordés.

The article presents the method and current issues of an interactive approach towards translation while stressing its intercultural aspects - sensitization to socio-cultural differences - as well as lexicological ones - sensitization to language registers and language gaps. Between February and June 2008, two Faculties of Arts (Charles University in Prague and Masaryk University in Brno) organized a student competition in translating Boumkoeur by Rachid Djaidani. The novel introduces life of the young in French suburbs. The entire didactic activity was aimed at linking translation theory and the more practically-minded problems of stylistics and lexicology.
