Abstract

Rozhovor s dětmi jako svědky je výrazně ovlivněn znalostí vývojových charakteristik dětí, dětskou motivací i komunikačními dovednostmi tazatele. Děti mají tendenci vynechávat informace o sexu a některé popírají, že byly součástí sexuálního aktu, i když existují důkazy, že zneužívání proběhlo. Jestliže ale o sexuálním zneužití vypovídají, obvykle bývají přesné a někdy dokonce znají více detailů, než dospělí. Vývojové charakteristiky, kterým se tento článek věnuje, jsou vývoj jazyka a porozumění, dětská paměť, sugestibilita, porozumění pravdě a lži a falešná obvinění. Článek nabízí několik doporučení pro tazatele, jak vést vývojově přiměřené interview a zvýšit přesnost dětských výpovědí.

Abstract (in English)

Interviewing children as witnesses is heavily influenced by the knowledge of developmental characteristics of children, childrens motivation, and by the interviewers communication skills. Children tend to omit sexual information, and some children deny being part of sexual acts, even when there is evidence that abuse did in fact occur. However, when children do tell about sexual abuse, they tend to be accurate and may sometimes know even more details than adults. The developmental features discussed in this paper are language development and comprehension, childrens memory, suggestibility, understanding differences between truth and lies and false allegation. This paper offers some recommendations for interviewers how to make the interview developmentally adequate and how to improve the accuracy of childrens reports.
