Abstract
A new gradient ion-paired HPLC utilising fluorescence detection for the simultaneous determination of thiamine and its mono- and diphosphate esters in human whole blood and plasma is developed. The method has been sufficient for the accurate, reliable and reproducible determination of thiamine status in healthy persons an also patients with diabetic nephropathy.
