Abstract
The teacher, particulary in the humenites and socio-scientific fields, can be characterised as a cultural-educational figure. In modern pedagogy, his principal goal in relation to his pupils is no longer to assist in the accumulation of knowledge, but rather to lead them towards more refined and orderly cognition directed towards an overall understanting of the modern world.
