Abstract

V originále

The aim of the paper is to highlight the possibility of using multi-agent approach for simulation of organization behavior in companies within the Greiners theory of organization growth. This paper was made in response to research conducted by Masaryk University in 2007 concerning the competitiveness of enterprises. From among the 432 companies there were identified 91 companies as a family business. Through primary analysis and correlation analysis were found differences in the behavior of family and non-family firms, which enter as variables into the model created through the NetLogo program. Because the approach of Greiners theory is based solely on the internal characteristics of firms the multi-agent approach based on NetLogo was used mainly due to the possibility of performing experiments with the established model. Results of experiments can give a response on the question concerning the differences in organizational behavior of family and non-family business within the Greiners theory of organization growth.
