TY - CONF ID - 847798 AU - Scheer, Tobias - Ziková, Markéta PY - 2009 TI - The Coda Mirror v2 (but not exactly 2.0) KW - Coda Mirror KW - lenition KW - extrasyllabicity KW - Government Phonology KW - closed/open syllable N2 - The Coda Mirror is a theory of lenition and fortition that is couched in the syllabic environment CVCV. It was laid out in Ségéral & Scheer (2001a) and has known various implementations and applications. In this paper we develop the Coda Mirror further by amending its mechanics in one central point: government and licensing are not equal-righted. The motivation for this move comes from the word-final situation, i.e. where non-phonological factors come into play. ER -
