Abstract

A la hora de acercarnos al personaje del Cid, es necesario tener en cuenta la importancia de diferenciar dos niveles relacionados con este héroe: primero el del Cid, como personaje literario, y, segundo, el del Cid como personaje histórico real. No obstante, abundan las situaciones, cuando nos encontramos ante una fusión de estos dos niveles, es decir momentos cuando hechos históricos y acontecimientos reales se unen a la ficción, producción de la licencia poética de los autores. Resulta interesante ver cómo cambia la percepción del Cid en el siglo XX y cómo se refleja este hecho en las obras literarias.

Abstract (in Czech)

Přistupujeme-li k postavě španělského hrdiny Cida, je třeba rozlišovat přinejmenším dvě roviny: první se týka Cida jakožto skutečné historické postavy, druhá Cida jakožto hrdiny středověkého hrdinského zpěvu, tedy literární postavy. Nicméně velmi často se setkáváme se směšováním těchto dvou rovin, ať již záměreným, či nechtěným. Nesmírně zajímavé je v tomto směru sledovat, jak se pohled na Cida mění v průběhu 20. století a jak se tato skutečnost odráží v literatuře.

Abstract (in English)

When approaching the figure of the Spanish hero Cid, it is necessary to distinguish two levels. One of them is related to Cid as a real historical person, the other is linked to Cid as a medieval epic poem hero, i.e. as a literary figure. Nevertheless theese two levels are often not respected. It is interesting to follow both the changes in the approach to the figure of Cid during the 20th century, and their reflections in literature.
