Abstract

Práce se koncentruje na vybrané otázky recepce jednoho z hlavních ikonografických zdrojů témat ve výtvarném umění, Ovidiových Metamorfóz: oblibu konkrétních tisků a ilustrací, na diskuzi nad ovidiovskými texty a jejich ilustracemi, na problematiku Metamorfóz v teoretické umělecké literatuře se zvláštním ohledem na teorii decora. Druhá polovina je zaměřena na detailní výzkum dvou moravských rezidencí (Kroměříž a Slavkov u Brna), kde se ovidiovská ikonografie uplatnila v rámci širších výzdobných programů. V daných rozborech se potvrdila vazba na ilustrované edice Metamorfóz, na problematiku eroticismu v umění a zejména na umístění ovidiovských bájí v rámci rezidenčních prostor. Obě zvolené výzdoby spojuje lokace ovidiovských bájí do kontextu zahradních komplexů, pro něž byly tyto příběhy v teoretických spisech doporučovány.

Abstract (in English)

This work is concentrated on selected questions of reception of one of the main iconographical sources for visual art, Ovid`s Metamorphoses: on popularity of Metamorphoses prints and illustrated editions, on with the discussion on ovidian texts and its illustrations. the questions of the role of Metamorphoses in the art theory (with a special regard to a theory of decorum). The second half of the work is attempting to a detailed research of two Moravian residences (Kroměříž and Slavkov u Brna), where was ovidian iconography used in wider decoration programmes. In these analyses were confirmed connections to the illustrated editions of Metamorphoses, to the questions of lascivity in the art and chiefly to the emplacement of ovidian fables in the residences. Both selected decorations are connected with the location of ovidian myths in the context of garden complexes, for which were those stories recommended in the art theory.
