The democratization process that took place in the last twenty years in the Czech Republic may be understood as a perfect example of a process of turning totalitarian system of law into democratic one, yet until the publication of The Process of Democratization of Law in the Czech Republic (1989-2009), there has been no book designated especially for American readers that contains a complex study on the development that Czech law has made since 1989.
