Studentští poradci poskytují s podporou Poradenského centra Masarykovy univerzity své služby studentům od podzimu 2007. Jelikož jde o celouniverzitní poradenství na bázi „studenti radí studentům“, jde v českém prostředí o výjimečnou a originálním způsobem fungující službu. Hlavní těžiště činnosti SP spočívá ve studijně-právním poradenství, které je možné realizovat osobně v rámci pravidelných úředních hodin, telefonicky nebo elektronicky. Druhým pilířem aktivit poradců je funkce „studentského ombudsmana“, kdy mohou v citlivých případech studenty zastupovat při jednání s univerzitními orgány. Třetí oblastí činnosti jsou osvětové přednášky, ve kterých studenty jednotlivých fakult seznamují se základními právními úskalími studia. Cílem příspěvku je popis fungování a činnosti Studentských poradců, jejich kvalifikace a zkušeností, které během dvou let působení získali.

Student counsellors together with the support of the Guidance Centre at the Masaryk University have been providing their services to students from the autumn 2007. It is whole university guidance service and can be called “students give advice to students”, and it is extraordinary service in the Czech environment. The main part of these counsellors’ activities is study-juridical guidance, which is possible to be realized face to face in the regular office hours, on phone or by e-mails. Second part of activities is the work of “study ombudsman”, who could stand in for students during the acting with the university authorities. Third part includes the extension lectures, where the students from different faculties are introduced with the general legal difficulties in study. The aim of this paper is to introduce activity of the student counselors, their qualification and experience, gained during two year operation of this service.
