Le roman, dont le sujet raconte une simple histoire d’amour reflète la propre expérience de l’auteur tout en ajoutant sa maîtrise de l’écriture. Le roman Maigret à New York a été écrit seulement peu après. La brève comparaison de deux oevres permettra de voir plus clair les motifs subjectifs de l’auteur qui se sont trouvés à l’origine de l‘impulsion créatrice. ER -
