Abstract

Tobie Lolness est le premier roman de Timothée de Fombelle, sorti en 2006. et couronné par de nombreux prix en France comme à l’étranger. Cette contribution voudrait traiter de l’image métaphorique de notre civilisation telle que le roman la peint et d’autre part essayer d’interpréter les illustrations de François Place en montrant comment elles s’inspirent directement de la réalité historique européenne du 20e siècle.

Kniha Tobiáš Lolness (Tobie Lolness) francouzského autora Timothée de Fombelle vyšla v roce 2006 a je ověnčena řadou domácích i zahraničních literárních cen. Příspěvek se pokouší především na základě interpretace ilustrací Françoise Place analyzovat imaginární románový svět, který je metaforickým obrazem evropské civilizace 20. století.

Toby Alone, a book written by the French author Timothée de Fombelle was published in 2006 and has won many literary awards, both in France and abroad. With the help of the interpretation of François Place's illustrations, this paper attempts to analyse the imaginary literary world which represents the metaphoric image of the European civilisation of the 20th century.
