Goal of this paper is to analyze current legal issues of securities settlement generally and both in the Czech Republic and the European Union. This paper will take MiFID directive based amendments into account and will also mention practical aspects of these electronic based systems supporting commerce on capital market.

Cílem tohoto příspěvku je provést rozbor aktuálních právních problémů v oblasti vypořádání obchodů s cennými papíry obecně, v České republice i v Evropské unii. Budou vzaty v úvahu novely zákonů založené na směrnici MiFID a budou zmíněny též praktické aspekty těchto elektronických systémů podporujících obchodování na kapitálovém trhu.
