Elektronický kurz sloužící jako úvod do pořizování textu na akademické úrovni; lze jej použít jako součást libovolné disciplíny zaměřené na tvorbu textu (akademické či tvůrčí psaní, stylistika, překlad) či ovládání IT (úvody do výpočetní techniky apod.). Obsahuje informace o psaní textu na počítači, typech editorů, konkrétní návody pro některé editory, seznámení s problematikou kódování, konverzí apod. Jeho jádrem jsou pak písařská a základní typografická pravidla, podaná jako srovnání mezi češtinou a angličtinou. Komparativní výklad s názornými ukázkami vede k zvýšení pozornosti uživatele k této často zanedbávané problematice. Součástí kurzu jsou také pravidla pro korektury a některá shrnutí historických technologií a postupů, která umožňují pochopit vývoj vedoucí k dnešnímu stavu.

An electronic course of the basics of typing at the academic level. It can be used as part of any discipline dealing with text creation (academic and creative writing, stylistics, translation) and ICT (introduction to the use of ICT). It includes information on typing on a computer, types of editors and wprd-processors, encoding and conversion problems etc. Its main focus, however, are the main typesetting and typographis rules, presented in comparison between the English and the Czech standards. The comparative approach increases the awareness of the students to this often neglected area of text creation. Among further topics covered in the course are: rules for proofreading, typical workflows in publishing, summaries of the historical development of selected technologies and procedures that help the student understand the present state and norms.
