Abstract
In the presentation is discussed the domiciliary service as the possible instrument of the elderly peoples' social inclusion. The current European social service policy trends are presented in the fist part of the text. The second part is centred on the development of Czech social service policy, demographic changes, resumption of the social services for the elderly people and view of the elderly peoples' expectancy. In the third part is described the domiciliary service as one of the form of assistance and using the research results of domiciliary service case study are discussed the risks of domiciliary service providing on the present in context of deinstitutionalization trend in the Czech Republic.
