Abstract

V originále

Cancer patients are in an increased risk of anemia, which can be accompanied by leucopenia and trombocytopenia with all medical consequences on the state of health. The aim was to determine the total incidence of anemia in cancer patients with solidtumours in the year 2008. The incidence of anemia in haematological examinations of cancer patients with solid tumour in our test group in the year 2008 was 12,75%. The concentration of hemoglobin in females or males does not differ statistically. However, the inicdence of anemina in female was two times higher than in males. The concurrent incidence of leucopenia or thrombocytopenia with anaemia was also higher in females. The results of females have revealed significantly lower values of Fe, FR B12 in concurrence with higher values of AF, compared to the results of males.
