Abstract

Après avoir passé quelques années en Tchécoslovaquie, Sylvie Germain a adopté dans sa création littéraire l'espace du pays où elle a vécu entre 1986 et 1993. Elle aimait Prague surtout à l'époque où il n’y avait pas autant de touristes et la ville ne figurait pas dans la liste des endroits touristiques primordiaux en France et au monde entier. Elle pouvait s'y promener librement et se laisser imprégner par l’atmosphère de la ville dite poétique. En même temps, elle s’intéressait aux gens qui y vivaient et faisait connaissance de l’oeuvre de certains artistes tchèques. La ville de Prague, l’atmosphère du pays dans les années 1980 et 1990, ainsi que l’art de Bohuslav Reynek ont nourri une partie de ses romans.

Abstract (in Czech)

Po několika letech strávených v Československu přijala Sylvie Germain do své literární tvorby inspiraci zemí, kde žila v letech 1986-1993. Měla ráda Prahu hlavně v době, kdy tam nebylo mnoho turistů a město nepatřilo mezi nejnavštěvovanější turistické destinace. Mohla se tam svobodně procházet a nechávat na sebe působit atmosféru poetického města. Zároveň se zajímala o lidi, kteří zde žijí et seznámila se s tvorbou několika českých autorů. Část jejích románů je tedy poznamenána Prahou, atmosférou v zemi v letech 1980-1990, ale také uměním Bohuslava Reynka.

Abstract (in English)

After spending several years in Czechoslovakia, Sylvie Germain adopted in her writing the space of the country where she lived between 1986 and 1993. She loved Prague especially when there were fewer tourists and the city was not included in the list of main tourist destinations in France and the world. She could walk about freely and soak up the atmosphere of the city called poetic. At the same time, she was interested in people who lived there and got to know some of the work of Czech artists. The city of Prague, the atmosphere of the country in the years 1980 and 1990, and the art of Bohuslav Reynek were the sources of inspiration in some of her novels.
