Účelem představení krajiny jako komplexu je demonstrování jejích hlavních prostorových strukturních znaků. Prostorová struktura je dána jak kombinací vlastností jednotlivých stavebních komponent (voda, vzduch, hornina, půda, biota atd.) v podobě vertikální struktury (profil), tak ve formě horizontální struktury prostorovým rozmístěním homogenních areálů s danou vertikální strukturou (mapa).

The demonstration of basic spatial structural features of given landscape is the aim of the landscape presentation as a complex. The spatial structure is given both by the combination of values of landscape components (air, water, rock, soul, biota, etc.) in the vertical structure (cross section) and by the territorial distribution of homogenous areas with certain vertical structures in the form of the horizontal structure (map).
