Abstract

Personne ne doute d identité d une langue. Mais peut-on parler d une identité de la traduction ? Et comment la caractériser ? Pourrait-elle se manifester dans l histoire des oeuvres traduites ou elle s incline chaque fois devant des règles individuelles de l ouvrage traduit ? Et comment traduire les variétés langagières qui n existent pas dans la langue cible ? Appuyé sur quelques exemples concrets du français commun standard et substandard et du « québécois », cette contribution n ose pas répondre à ces questions compliquées mais propose plutôt quelques pistes a suivre.

Jestliže hovoříme o identitě jazyka, je možné hovořit i o identitě překladu? Pokud ano, jak ji charakterizovat? Je možno ji vysledovat v jednotlivých překladech z konkrétních jazyků nebo se vždy přizpůsobuje té či oné předloze? Příspěvek zkoumá jakým způsobem je možné přeložit do češtiny jazykové roviny, které v ní neexistují. Výzkum je proveden na konkrétních příkladech českého překladu kanadské francouzštiny.

Abstract (in English)

Since there is an identity of a language, is there also an identity of a translation? If so, how can it be characterised? Is it possible to detect it from individual translations of certain languages or does it follow a template? Our question is whether it is possible to translate linguistic phenomenons which do not exist in the Czech language. The research is based on existing translations of Canadian French into Czech.
