Abstract
The translation - if presented - at the university curriculum is mostly perceived as a traditional subject based on the theories of translation. But translation also might be used as a means to help students in other fields, such as cultural studies, history, sociology and mostly language skills. Even if we use translation (academic or pedagogy translation) in the classroom, still, we have to face the rich fields of language tricks that could again only be solved by traditional approach - substitution and equivalence and therefore it allows us to benefit in several fields. The proceedings introduces the basic criteria and terminology for academic translation that could be used as a means of students‘ language progress and might be the integrating part of the complex students’ education at language departments.
