Abstract

L'utopie oppose, au monde actuel, une ontologie hypothétique, le plus souvent de type social, qui se présente a la fois comme critique et comme projet destiné a transformer la réalité. Une des modalités en est le roman de colonisation qui propose une variante du reve américain, a savoir la construction d'une société neuve dans un espace encore vierge, a la marge du monde actuel. L'opposition entre le monde actuel et le projet social peut impliquer des transferts, au sein de l'univers utopique, de paradigmes identitaires. Étant une vision autre de la société, le roman de colonisation peut donc comporter des éléments d'identification tant individuelle que collective : autrement dit, elle est aussi bien une vision de soi et de l'autre et présente donc une certaine conception de l'altérité. Le texte se propose d'examiner, sous cet angle, deux romans : L'Impératrice de l'Ungava (1927) d'Alexandre Huot et Pikauba (2005) de Gérard Bouchard.

Proti aktuálnímu světu staví utopie hypotetickou ontologii, nejčastěji ze sociálních typu, která představuje zároveň kritiku aktuálního světa i projekt, jak aktuální realitu změnit. Specifickým druhem utopie je román kolonizace, která nabízí variantu amerického snu, a sice výstavbu nové společnosti v dosud nedotčených oblastech situovaných in margine aktuálního světa. Vzdor protikladu mezi aktuálním světem a utopickým projektem může být ovšem utopie i místem, kam se promítají identitární paradigmata aktuálního světa v podobě alternativních prvků individuální i kolektivní identifikace: to znamená různé vize Já i Druhého a spolu s tím i různé vize jinakosti. Z tohoto úhlu článek zkoumá dva romány: L'Impératrice de l'Ungava (1927) Alexandra Huota a Pikauba (2005) Gérarda Boucharda.

Abstract (in English)

Utopia opposes, to the actual world, a hypothetical ontology, most often of a social type, which occurs both as a critic and project to transform reality. A specific kind of Utopia is the novel of colonization, which offers a variant of the American dream, namely the construction of a new society in a still untouched area situated in the fringe of the actual world. The opposition between the actual world and the social project may involve transfers, in the utopian world, of identity paradigms. As an alternative vision of society, the novel of colonization can involve elements of both individual and collective identification: i.e. it is both a vision of Self and the Other and as such, produces a certain conception of Otherness. The text proposes to examine, under this angle, two novels: L'Impératrice de l'Ungava (1927) by Alexandre Huot and Pikauba (2005) by Gérard Bouchard.
