Abstract

Norská spisovatelka Sigrid Undsetová musela po okupaci nacistickým Německem opustit svou vlast. Článek je věnován esejům, jež vznikly bezprostředně po její cestě Ruskem. Eseje vypovídají o antifašistickém a antikomunistickém postoji autorky. Tematizuji překlady díla vydaného pod názvem Return to the Future (1942), věnuje se historii vzniku a mezinárodní recepci díla.

Abstract (in English)

Sigrid Undset left Norway because of the Nazi occupation, her emigration travel through the former Soviet Union in the U.S.A. is described in the essay book Return to the Future (1942). Unique experience in the modality of war. The article concentrates on the characteristics of this Undset text, its history and international reception.
