V originále

Text podává výklad podstaty minulého režimu ze tří hledisek. Prvním je hodnotová základna komunistické ideologie. Druhým je identifikace držitelů moci a třetím určení skutečných vlastníků výrobních prostředků. Z rozporů mezi těmito vrstvami je odvozen jejich aktuální význam pro pojetí základních demokratických hodnot v současnosti.

In English

The text explains the essence of the communist regime and focus on three main points. The author studies the values on which the communist ideology has been based. He identifies the people who kept the power and the real owners of the means of production during Communist rule. There is an analysis of the contradictions of the ideology, the ownership and the power in the Communist era and its contemporary meanings. In the end of the article these contradictions are explained as a threat for the understanding of basic values of democracy.
