Autism belongs between serious disorders of mental development. Classical autism is usually defined by three main symptoms: defect in speech, defect in social relationships and abnormal interests and behavior. Clinic of infantile neurology of University hospital Brno, Černopolní 9, is one from the two republic center for diagnosis of autism. 31 autistic childlike pacients were examined by anthropometric methods. Physical appearance of autistic children differs in no way from healthy children. However, it was discovered that some of these children are disproportional at theirs physical parameters.
