Abstract

U subpopulace nemocných představují AP 2. generace ve formě LAI optimální léčebnou strategii a jsou nepochybně velkým přínosem v léčbě závažných psychických poruch. Rozšiřují terapeutické armamentarium a dávají více možností pro individualizovaný přístup. V budoucnosti lze očekávat jejich širší užití - tj. rozšíření indikací na oblast afektivních poruch a častější aplikace hlavně v iniciálních fázích schizofrenní poruchy.

Abstract (in English)

The authors present 2-years results of e-STAR study in the Czech and Slovak Republic. E-STAR is an multicenter, observational study, focusing on prospective evaluation of the treatment with risperidone long-acting injection in routine clinical praxis. Our data have confirmed a high adherence to the treatment. In spite of this a significant decrease of concomitant medication and a decrease of the illness severity was observed. Our results support the idea, that new formulations of the second generation antipsychotics represent an important advancement in the treatment of psychoses.
