Abstract
The paper discusses prevailing conceptualization as a phenomenon being perceived as a threat for the European Integration and points out to the several major weaknesses of this conceptualization. Taking into account firmly defined standards (e. g. statehood of the EU, support for the EU, theory of democracy) it offers a different perspective viewing Euroscepticism linked just to its hard version and considering soft Euroscepticism as a basically pro-European stance.
