Abstract
The article provides information regarding the texts on Asian theatre written by Czech theoreticians, pointing out their relevance and value for Czech theoretical discourse. Especially two studies on Chinese theatre by Karel Brušák and the structural approach are perceived as exemplary.

Příspěvek se věnuje teoretickým textů, které v českém prostředí reflektovaly asijské divadelní kultury. Pozornost je věnována především dvěma pracím Karla Brušáka o čínském divadle, jež reprezentují strukturalistický přístup k problematice.
