N2 - We have shown previously, that a small molecular inhibitor of p38 MAPK SB202190 (SB) selectively induces autophagy in MM cell lines, but not in other cell types we tested. We have demonstrated that SB-induced autophagy promotes cell survival and combining SB with autophagy inhibitors can lead to a significant decrease of MM cell viability.
