Abstract

V současné době dochází k velmi výraznému rozvoji dentálních laserů. Zároveň se zvyšuje informovanost a zájem pacientů o tento způsob léčby. Výhodou laserového ošetření je menší bolestivost při zákroku a během hojení, díky hemostatickému účinku často není nutné ránu chirurgicky šít, sterilizační působení paprsku zabezpečí nekomplikované hojení. Cílem sdělení je podat přehled o základních principech laserového záření a možnostech využití ve stomatologii. Závěrem jsou diskutovány jednotlivé indikace u ortodonticky léčených pacientů.

Abstract (in English)

Nowadays there is significant progress in the development of dental lasers. At the same time, patients are better informed and more interested in this type of therapy. An advantage of laser treatment is less pain during dental intervention and wound healing. Thanks to its haemostatic effect, it is not necessary to stitch the wound, the sterilizing effects of the laser beams ensure uncomplicated healing. The aim of this paper is to provide a review of basic principles about laser radiation and the possibilities of its application in dentistry. At the end there is a discussion of individual indications from orthodontically treated patients.
